What does AMC do?
AMC is a managing general agency specializing in auto-related business risks including, but not limited to: service stations, c-stores, lube centers, repair shops, carwashes, fuel distributors, fuel marketers, etc. AMC writes both package policies and workers' compensation policies. Another AMC division is American Underwriters Insurance Company (AUIC), which is a licensed insurance company in Arkansas writing Personal Lines in each of Arkansas' 75 counties. AMC also includes, in most states, a Commercial Lines/Excess & Surplus division. Finally, American Management Control Systems (AMCS). American Management Claims Administrators (AMCA) and Risk Engineering which bring value-added services to AMC / Fairmont's customers and insuring partners.
Where is AMC located?
AMC / Fairmont's corporate office is located 27 miles north of Little Rock in Conway, Arkansas. We have been at our current location in downtown Conway for 10 years. While in Conway we have expanded into two new buildings and tripled our number of employees. Conway has a population of around 40,000 people. It is the home of three colleges: Hendrix College, University of Central Arkansas, and Central Baptist College. Conway has been made famous for the annual festival known as Toad Suck Daze. In 2004, AMC acquired two MGA's in Scottsdale, Arizona, which were combined to make up our Arizona office. This acquisition added approximately 400 agents to our roster and numerous E&S carriers.
How do I become contracted with AMC?
1. Send in the Agency Profile
2. Discuss opportunities with a Corporate Marketing Representative
3. Send in signed contracts along with a copy of your E&O and License
The first step is to fill out the Agency Profile provided to you on the website. You may submit the Profile through the website or by printing the form, then faxing it to 501-450-6962. After the completed Agency Profile is sent it will be received by the AMC Corporate Marketing Department. Corporate Marketing will review the Agency Profile. After review you will be contacted by a Corporate Marketing Representative to discuss how your agency and AMC could build a successful relationship and give you further detail on available AMC programs. You will also be asked to provide a copy of you E&O coverage and license. If both parties agree that contracting your agency will be mutually beneficial, contracts will be prepared.
Where will my Agency Profile be sent after I fill it out online?
Your Agency profile will be sent directly to the Corporate Marketing Department in AMC / Fairmont's Conway, Arkansas office.
Where do I send a submission?
All submissions will need to be sent to the attention of your assigned underwriter at his or her specified office.
