Retail Service Station: Products
Automotive Gasoline Service Station
A Retail Service Station has full-service and/or self-service gasoline sales along with Convenience Store/Mini Market operations (snacks, beverages, etc.), cooking, car wash, and repair operations. A typical Service Station will be leased from a major oil company such as Shell/Texaco, Exxon/Mobil, ARCO, or Chevron and the insured is not responsible for providing building coverage. This is the preferred risk since the oil company handles all building maintenance and upkeep promptly. The insured may also own the property rather than leasing from an oil company. The owner must have a minimum of two years experience service station/convenience store industry or related specialized training.
Automotive Repair Garage
An Automotive Repair Business is 100% repair service with no gasoline sales. A typical Auto Repair Garage will be a Major Brand and/or franchised repair shop that is leased from the Franchise owner. The building will be leased and the insured is not responsible for providing building coverage. This is the preferred risk since the Franchise owner handles all building maintenance and upkeep promptly. The insured may also own the property rather than leasing from a franchise owner. Owner/operator must have five year's experience, or repair shop must be primarily staffed by certified mechanics.
Car Washes
Just as the auto service industry is expanding, so are AMC markets and programs to provide our agents opportunities to write business. In AMC’s Car Wash Program we provide the ability to write just about any method of washing an automobile. This Program can handle risks that are stand-alone or attached to another operation, such as a convenience store selling gasoline or quick lube.
Truck Stops
AMC is always looking to expand the markets we have available for our agents. A natural extension for AMC's Service Station/Convenience Store Program was to expand to include Truck Stops.
