An Automotive Repair Business is 100% repair service with no gasoline sales. A typical Auto Repair Garage will be a Major Brand and/or franchised repair shop that is leased from the Franchise owner. The building will be leased and the insured is not responsible for providing building coverage. This is the preferred risk since the Franchise owner handles all building maintenance and upkeep promptly. The insured may also own the property rather than leasing from a franchise owner. Owner/operator must have five year's experience, or repair shop must be primarily staffed by certified mechanics.

Eligible Operations for Automotive Repair Garage Program
  • Quick Lube Centers - Preferred are those with major brand affiliation such as Pennzoil QuakerState and Jiffy Lube.
  • Transmission Shops
  • Tune-Up Shops/Auto Mechanical Repair (not major repairs)
  • Auto Glass Repair (residential or off-site glass repair is not eligible)
  • Muffler Shops
  • Brake Shops
  • Auto Parts Stores (Machine Shop exposures are not eligible)
  • Auto Body Shops
Owned Automobiles

This program is designed to provide insurance for those vehicles used to service the insured operation. Coverage is only available for owned or long term leased automobiles. Automobiles must be registered in the name of the insured if an individual, in the name of a partnership, or in the corporate name if a corporation.
